Die Linie 156 des RAVeL entspricht der ehemaligen Bahnlinie 156, die Anor in Frankreich mit Hastière über Chimay und Mariembourg verbindet. Der Abschnitt Hermeton-sur-Meuse - Mariembourg wurde 1978 abgebaut. Auf der Strecke wurde ein RAVeL-Rad- und Wanderweg aus Asphalt angelegt.
