Der Name Vagevuurbos bezieht sich auf die Vagevuurkapelle, die entlang der Blauwhuisstraat erbaut wurde. Die heutige Kapelle stammt aus dem Jahr 1962 und ersetzt die früheren Statuen und Bilder, die an diesem Standort platziert wurden. Die älteste Erwähnung geht auf das Jahr 1756 zurück.
Wir kehren kurz zurück und folgen der Route weiter bis zum Parkplatz Aanwijs.
