Eine Weißdornhecke, in der zwei Mispeln auf einer Unterlage aus Weißdorn gepfropft sind. Da die Veredlung in einer Höhe von 180 cm durchgeführt wurde, ragen die Kronen der Mispeln, mit einem Durchmesser von etwa fünf Metern, über die Heckenschneidhecke hinaus.
Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Kulturvarietät der Mispel, die wegen der großen Früchte gehalten wurde. Durch die Mispeln in der Hecke, die einen ehemaligen Obstgarten abschloss, wurde der Nutzen der Hecke als Abgrenzung erhöht, indem eine Ernte mit Früchten hinzugefügt wurde. Die Mispel wurde nach dem ersten Frost geerntet, wodurch das Fruchtfleisch weich und essbar wurde.
