Dieser Deich verbindet De Klinge mit Kieldrecht und ist eine direkte Folge des Endes des Achtzigjährigen Krieges. Im Jahr 1673 ist dies die Grenze zwischen den Spanischen Niederlanden und der mittlerweile unabhängigen Republik der Sieben Vereinigten Niederlande. Die Spanier trauen der Sache nicht. Sie bauen den Deich als Schutz gegen die Überflutung ihrer Gebiete. Heute ist der Koningsdijk vor allem ein wunderschöner Radweg.
