Gedicht des niederländischen Schriftstellers und Dichters Gerard Kornelis van het Reve
Zwischen 1993 und 2006 war Machelen-aan-de-Leie der Wohnsitz des niederländischen Autors und Dichters Gerard Reve.
Er ist auf dem neuen Friedhof in der Hoevestraat begraben.
Auf dem Georges-Jozef Imschootplein wurde das Gedicht Credo von Reve in eine Gedenkmauer verarbeitet.
Direkt daneben befindet sich das Atelier von Künstler Martin Wallaert. Atelier nach Vereinbarung zu besichtigen.
