Im Jahr 1676 ließ Christophe De le Tenre, Pfarrer der St. Martinusgemeinde, diese Kapelle errichten, um die Sonntagspflicht für die Gläubigen, die weit weg wohnten, zu erleichtern.
Obwohl das Baujahr barocke Stilmerkmale vermuten lässt, wurde dennoch eine einfache spätgotische Stilrichtung verwendet. Die auf der Südseite des Musikberges schön gelegene Kapelle besteht aus einem rechteckigen Raum mit hinten einem kleinen Chor, an den eine Sakristei angrenzt. Sie ist aus Ziegeln erbaut, auf einem teilweise aus Sandstein bestehenden Sockel, hat kurze Spitzbogenfenster in den Seitenwänden und ein stark restauriertes Korbbogenportal in der Westfassade. Ein kleiner Dachreiter ziert das Ende des mit Schindeln belegten Satteldachs des Hauptschiffes.
