Maria erscheint am Sonntag, den 15. Januar 1933, in Banneux. Seitdem haben unzählige Menschen Hoffnung, Frieden und Heilung in einem Dorf gesucht, das sich allmählich zu einem wahren Wallfahrtsort entwickelt hat. Fromme Lieder und Gebete erheben sich weit über die Bäume, und ein Kreuzweg sowie unzählige Kapellen sind in den Kiefernwäldern verstreut.
