Starten Sie an der Moedermeule in Gelrode bei Aarschot zu einer Wanderung durch das Eisensteinland. Sie erklimmen typische Zeugenberge des Hagelandes wie den Eikelberg in Gelrode und den Wijngaardberg in Wezemaal. Auf beiden Hügeln entdecken Sie die Spuren von Steinbrüchen, in denen Eisensandstein abgebaut wurde. Diese Steine wurden für den Bau von Kirchen, Pfarrhäusern und anderen wichtigen Gebäuden verwendet.
