Die dritte Etappe des badischen Weinradwegs führt auf rund 53 km durch die Weinhänge des Breisgaus bis in die Ortenau. Ab Riegel führt der Weinradweg durch die Weinregion Breisgau bis Gengenbach im Kinzigtal. Vorbei an der Ruine Lichteneck geht es weiter durch sanfte Rebhänge, heimelige Dörfer und liebenswerte Städte, die geprägt sind von Bürgerhäusern, Fachwerkbauten und prachtvollen Rathäusern. In der Nähe der barocken Stadt Ettenheim lohnt sich ein Abstecher auf den Heubergturm, der einen tollen Rundblick bietet. Radfahrer passieren weiter das Schloss in Schmieheim, das eine Brauerei beherbergt, sowie Lahr, das besonders zur Zeit der Chrysanthema im Herbst aufblüht, bevor die Etappe im schmucken Gengenbach endet.
