In der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts hatten Mitglieder der Familie Estebanot, darunter ein Ingenieur und ein Angestellter des Gerichts, ein Haus in der Nähe der Punta de los Cuervos, in dem Gebiet, das als "Los Hierros" bekannt ist. Einige Leute begannen jedoch, es "Punta Estebanot" zu nennen, anstatt seines ursprünglichen Namens. Der Name "Punta Estebanot" oder "Punta de Estebanot" wurde jedoch nie offiziell erklärt.
