Heute ist Ubrique eines der wichtigsten Lernzentren Europas . Ubrique ist unter anderem Lieferant von Louis Vuitton und Gucci . Es gibt zahlreiche Gerbereien und Ledergeschäfte.
Was mit der Herstellung von hauptsächlich Lederreitstiefeln und -sätteln begann, ist weiter gewachsen zu allem, was heute in den großen Modehäusern zu finden ist. Hier wird das Leder für Taschen von Marken wie Louis Vuitton und Gucci gefertigt, bevor der Couturier eine trendige Tasche für den Laufsteg fertigt. In Ubrique gibt es auch ein Ledermuseum (Museo de la Piel) mit alten Werkzeugen und eine Kunstgalerie voller Lederwaren.
