Dieser bildet zusammen mit der gleichnamigen Flanke die Plattform der Kapuziner, die sich als Teil der Mauern von Ventaval im Südfeld von Cádiz zwischen der Bastion der Märtyrer und dem Flanc de Sant Rafael befindet. .
Es ist Teil der Verteidigungsanlage Frente del Ventaval , wo die Mauer und die Bastion aufgrund der Kraft der Wellen erst im 18. Jahrhundert gebaut werden konnten. Mit dieser ummauerten Seite vervollständigte Cadiz seine Umfassungsmauern, die zuerst im Unabhängigkeitskrieg und später in den aufeinanderfolgenden Revolutionen des 19. Jahrhunderts verwendet wurden.
