Der Circuit de l'Authion ist eine alte militärische Einbahnstraße (asphaltiert) im Nationalpark Mercantour, die um einen Berggipfel (das Massiv von Authion) führt. Unterwegs trifft man auf militärische Denkmäler (wie die Überreste eines Forts und einen Panzer). Du erreichst diese Straße, indem du von der Spitze des Col de Turini weiter aufsteigst (mit etwa 10 bis 12%) nach Basse de Tueis (1830 Meter Höhe) über eine gute Straße. Danach folgt die Einbahnstraße, die schmal ist, zunächst abfällt und dann den Weg (manchmal über mäßigen Straßenbelag) auf 1986 Meter Höhe durch eine wunderschöne Alpenlandschaft mit großartigen Ausblicken erklimmt (dieser Teil des Anstiegs hat praktisch konstant 10% über eine Strecke von etwa 3 Kilometern). Auf demselben Weg, auf dem du gekommen bist, gehst du über Basse de Tueis zurück zur Spitze des Col de Turini.
