Cashes Green Halt wurde am 22. Januar 1930 eröffnet und befindet sich an der heutigen Golden Valley Line zwischen Stroud und Stonehouse. Diese Linie wurde 1845 als Cheltenham and Great Western Union Railway von Swindon nach Gloucester eröffnet und war eine von vielen kleinen Stationen und Haltestellen, die für den lokalen Personennahverkehr an dieser Linie gebaut wurden. Diese spezielle Haltestelle wurde später als die anderen gebaut und wurde eingerichtet, um die damals neue Wohnsiedlung Cashes Green westlich von Stroud auf eine öffentliche Anfrage hin zu bedienen.
