Damwâld ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Dantumadiel in Friesland, Niederlande. Im Jahr 2020 hatte es 5630 Einwohner. Diese Anzahl von Einwohnern macht Damwâld zum größten Dorf in der Gemeinde Dantumadiel. Das heutige Dorf Damwâld ist ein zusammengeschlossenes Gebiet von drei älteren Dörfern, die 1971 fusionierten. Die drei Dörfer waren: Dantumawoude, Akkerwoude und Murmerwoude. Aber es war im 19. Jahrhundert, als die Dörfer bereits begannen, wirklich zusammenzuwachsen. Ab der zweiten Hälfte dieses Jahrhunderts dichteten sich die Gebäude stark und 1880 wurde entlang der Murmerlaan die erste Straßenbahnlinie Frieslands, eine Pferdestraßenbahn, eröffnet.
