AzureThis approx. 3 km long circular hike along the borders of the monastery area would like to tell the hiker the history of the cultural landscape of this place. In 6 places on this route, neither of the two existing relics were marked and linked to each other.
Departure and arrival: parking lot of the monastery (to the right of the entrance gate)
Public transport: DB stop Eltville am Rhein and there the bus to Eberbach Monastery.
Signposting: Shields with crosier. On this hike, I had to do my best (and also other hikers who approached me) to find some signs and information boards. There was a lot of storm damage in the forest and people were also busy cleaning it up, so some trails were inaccessible. Luckily I had a hiking map of the Kiedrich area at hand and was able to find the route.
