The Mary Chapel at Posthoorn has not always been there. The chapel was built after the liberation by the Moleneind neighborhood in gratitude to Mary. The original location was at the corner of Galgestraat and Moleneind. Just like at the Joseph Chapel, there is a bottle with a certificate embedded in the wall. Artist Niel Steenbergen created a replica of the statue of Mary in the Sint Joostkapel in Breda. In the side wall, there are two memorial stones, one of which commemorates Wouterus de Leeuw, born in Teteringen in 1925 and who fell at the age of 21 in Java. Due to the construction of the northern ring road at the end of the sixties, the Mary Chapel had to make way for a bike path. The chapel was then completely relocated to the other side of the road. This monument also faced vandalism. The statue of Mary has been replaced and the stained glass window has been restored.
