En Tervuren se encuentra el Museo Real de África Central con un parque de estanques, el antiguo dominio de caza de los duques de Brabante cerca del Bosque de Zoniën. A través de Tervuren fluye el río Voer, que le da su nombre al municipio.

La iglesia de San Juan Evangelista, construida en el siglo XIII. Es notable la ausencia de una torre, que fue demolida en 1777 por razones de estabilidad.
En el parque del Museo Real de África Central se encuentra el mamut más grande de Flandes.
El Arboretum Geográfico, de aproximadamente 100 ha., fue creado a partir de 1902 por el rey Leopoldo II. Los árboles no están ordenados por género, sino por entorno natural. Ahora es un hermoso trozo de naturaleza en el Bosque de Zoniën.
