Hill 62 es una colina en los alrededores de Ypres. '62' indica que la colina se encuentra a 62 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Hill 62 o Höhe 62 pasó a manos alemanas en 1916 hasta que las tropas canadienses conquistaron la colina. Los canadienses sufrieron grandes pérdidas durante esta conquista. El monumento en la cima homenajea a los soldados canadienses caídos. Desde Hill 62 se tiene una vista magnífica de las torres de Ypres y se percibe de inmediato la importancia estratégica de una elevación durante la Primera Guerra Mundial.
