Fuerte de Brasschaat
El Fuerte de Brasschaat, construido entre 1909 y 1912, sigue siendo un dominio militar y por lo tanto no es accesible. Hasta hace poco se utilizaba como campo de entrenamiento, pero ahora está abandonado y es un lugar importante para los murciélagos.
El fuerte forma parte de una Zona Europea de Especial Protección y se encuentra en un área boscosa, ideal para caminatas a lo largo del punto de conexión 7 de la red 'Kempense Heide'. En la década de 1970, el ejército belga intentó volar parte del fuerte, pero solo se destruyó el ala izquierda.
El fuerte es accesible a través de la Bredabaan (N1) y la Sionskloosterlaan.
