El Riekend Rustpunt (= El museo más pequeño de Flandes Oriental.)
El Riekend Rustpunt es un pequeño museo, único en Flandes, que destaca un aspecto totalmente desconocido y poco estudiado de la historia: el transporte de estiércol por agua de la ciudad al campo.
Bajo el título 'De excremento urbano a suelo arenoso' hay una exposición permanente dedicada al comercio de osos y estiércol desde el siglo XVII hasta algún momento de los años 30 del siglo pasado. Las ciudades tenían grandes problemas de desechos y estiércol y el campo podía utilizar esos productos para la fertilización de las tierras agrícolas. A lo largo de las vías fluviales, surgió un intenso comercio entre la ciudad y el campo.
