En 1895, la Congregación de San José de Clermont-Ferrand compró muchos edificios para el cuidado de mujeres con enfermedades mentales. También se creó una escuela primaria para niñas. A partir de 1896, los edificios fueron ampliados para el alojamiento de enfermos mentales. Hoy en día, el Centro Médico San José ofrece terapia a personas con problemas para que aprendan a (re)integrarse en la sociedad.
