El Noordbrug es un bonito ejemplo de lo que se llama un 'puente atirantado' en el mundo de la arquitectura. Conecta el centro con el museo Texture, el barrio urbano de Overleie y los distritos más alejados de Heule y Bissegem. En el lado del centro se encuentra una auténtica 'cancha de baloncesto' y Kortrijk Weide.
El puente data de 2010 como parte de las obras de Leie, pero es un reemplazo de variantes anteriores sobre las que incluso alguna vez hubo una línea de tranvía eléctrica. El tranvía ha sido reemplazado por un autobús de línea que circula a intervalos regulares por el eje norte-sur de Kortrijk.
