Importante zona de caída del ejército secreto durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
En 1944, los habitantes de los pueblos de Bonsin y sus alrededores participaron en la resistencia en Bélgica. Entre abril y septiembre de 1944, se lanzaron aquí de noche municiones y hombres para el ejército secreto. Se erigió un monumento en 1946 en memoria de las personas que lucharon por nuestra libertad. Una ceremonia militar anual se lleva a cabo en septiembre.
