El monasterio de Weißenstein fue un collegium fundado alrededor de 1137, a partir de 1145 un monasterio de monjes agustinos, antes de 1184 un monasterio de monjes y monjas y antes de 1193 un monasterio exclusivamente de monjas cerca de Kassel. Estaba bajo la protección de la sede arzobispal de Maguncia, respectivamente, de San Martín. Antes de su disolución, nuevamente habían entrado monjes en el monasterio. Se encontraba en el lugar del actual castillo de Wilhelmshöhe.
