El castillo de Friburgo, conocido mejor bajo el nombre de Burghaldenschloss, es un castillo alto en ruinas en el Schlossberg a 376,3 m sobre el nivel del mar en el área de la actual Ludwigshöhe sobre la ciudad de Friburgo en Breisgau en Baden-Wurtemberg.
Ya en el año 1091, el duque Zähringer Berthold II construyó en el Schlossberg de Friburgo el hermoso Castrum de Friburch, más tarde alabado por Hartmann von Aue, en estilo románico. Los sirvientes y artesanos del duque se asentaron al pie de la montaña en el área de la actual ciudad vieja del sur, pero solo en el año 1120 su hijo Conrad, con la aprobación del emperador Enrique IV, otorgó a la aldea el derecho de mercado y así puso fin a la fase fundacional de Friburgo.
