La iglesia principal evangélico-luterana de San Juan es la iglesia más antigua de la ciudad de Lüneburg. Se encuentra en la plaza Am Sande en el centro de la ciudad y es considerada una obra arquitectónica importante del gótico de ladrillo del norte de Alemania.
La iglesia de salón gótica de cinco naves fue construida entre 1289 y 1470. La primera mención documental del edificio anterior data de 1174. La mayor parte del edificio de la iglesia fue completada en 1372, y la torre se finalizó en 1384 con una altura de 110 metros. Después de algunas ampliaciones adicionales, la construcción de la iglesia se puede considerar completada en 1470.
