Catalogado y protegido como monumento histórico, el dolmen de Blessac, conocido como Pierre-la-Fade (o piedra de las hadas), data del Neolítico y, como la mayoría de los dólmenes europeos, fue construido entre finales del V milenio y finales del III milenio antes de Cristo.
En el imaginario colectivo, las Fades o hadas son genios del aire, los bosques, las rocas y el agua que viven generalmente en grupos de tres, se esconden durante el día en las grietas de las rocas que les sirven de hogar y emergen al anochecer. Por eso muchos dólmenes están asociados a la leyenda de las hadas y se han convertido en lugares de creencia y superstición.
Lugar de enterramiento colectivo, este dolmen rectangular habría tenido cuatro soportes y una mesa formada por dos bloques yuxtapuestos.
