El punto más bajo de los Países Bajos se encuentra en un prado en el Zuidplaspolder, al noreste de Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. Se encuentra a una altitud de 6,76 metros por debajo del nivel del mar. En el borde de este prado, junto a la autopista A20, se erige el monumento al punto más bajo de los Países Bajos. La base de este monumento coincide con el nivel del punto más bajo.
