La undécima etapa del Caminho Nascente vuelve a atravesar un hermoso paisaje montañoso. Durante el camino hay muchas panorámicas, pequeños pueblos pintorescos, el paisaje a menudo parece una postal. La primera mitad sube y baja bastante, pero en ningún lugar es demasiado empinada. A mitad de camino, Mêda tiene todas las instalaciones para un descanso. Después, la ruta desciende en Santo Amaro. Tras cruzar el Douro, aún queda una fuerte subida hacia Torre Moncorvo, pero el aumento no supera el 5% en ningún lugar.
