El canal Phraya Banlue es un canal principal construido durante el reinado del Rey Rama I para irrigar tierras agrícolas de cultivación de arroz a gran escala. El canal fue construido de manera privada y la tierra de 30 o 40 sen de ancho en cada orilla pertenecía al propietario de la empresa que excavaba el canal. La construcción del canal, bajo la dirección de Jao Phraya Banlue (de ahí el nombre del canal), comenzó en 1892, pero Banlue no vivió para ver la finalización de su proyecto. Se reclutaron musulmanes de la provincia de Pattani para construir el canal. Después de que se construyó el canal, muchos musulmanes se establecieron en Lat Bua Luang. El canal conecta el río Chao Phraya con el río Tha Jin. El canal se desprende del río Chao Phraya en Bang Sai, frente al Centro de Artes y Oficios Populares de Bang Sai en la provincia de Ayutthaya, y se sumerge en el río Tha Jin en el distrito de Song Phi Nong de Suphan Buri.
