El vuelo 1354 UPS Airlines fue un vuelo de carga programado del aeropuerto internacional de Louisville, al aeropuerto internacional de Birmingham-Shuttlesworth. El 14 de agosto de 2013, la aeronave que volaba esta ruta, un Airbus A300-600F de UPS Airlines, se estrelló y estalló en llamas cerca de la pista de aterrizaje durante la aproximación al aeropuerto internacional de Birmingham-Shuttlesworth, en Alabama, Estados Unidos.[1][2] Ambos pilotos fueron declarados muertos en el lugar del accidente. Eran las únicas personas a bordo de la aeronave.[3]
El vuelo accidentado era un Airbus A300F4-622R, matrícula N155UP. Fue construido en 2003; UPS lo adquirió en febrero de 2004.[4] Era impulsado por motores Pratt & Whitney PW4000. Al momento del accidente, tenía acumuladas 11,000 horas vuelo aproximadamente en 6,800 ciclos de vuelo .[5]
