Comines est une section de la ville belge de Comines-Warneton située en Wallonie picarde et en Flandre romane dans la province de Hainaut. Il s'agit d'une ville francophone à facilités néerlandophones.Comme Warneton, Comines s'étend le long de la Lys , dont l' ancien lit forme la frontière avec la France . De l'autre côté de la Lys se trouve la commune française du même nom, Comines.
