Zone de largage importante de l'armée secrète pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
En 1944, des habitants des villages de Bonsin et des environs participent à la résistance en Belgique. Entre avril et septembre 1944, des munitions et des hommes ont été largués ici la nuit pour l'armée secrète. Un monument a été érigé en 1946 en mémoire des personnes qui ont combattu pour notre liberté. Une cérémonie militaire annuelle a lieu en septembre.
