Départ de la Sint-Genovevakerk d'Oplinter pour une excursion à travers champs en direction du village voisin de Sint-Margriete-Houtem. En chemin, vous aurez une vue magnifique sur les champs vallonnés et les vergers. Le cimetière militaire abrite 173 soldats morts lors de la bataille de Sint-Margriete-Houtem, le 18 août 1914, lorsque l'armée belge a tenté d'arrêter l'avancée des Allemands à Gete. Moins mouvementée est l'histoire du monastère Maagdendaal à Oplinter, un beau monument avec une belle porte baroque.
