La Route du Commandant Rasquin commence au Fort de Bornem et passe devant plusieurs vestiges de la Première et de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Le fort fait partie de la ceinture extérieure de forts autour d'Anvers et a été aménagé comme point d'appui de l'infanterie pendant l'entre-deux-guerres. Plus tard, pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il a surtout joué un rôle logistique.

La promenade est longue d'environ 16 kilomètres et se déroule en partie sur des chemins de campagne. Vous préférez un itinéraire plus court ? Pas de problème ! La promenade peut être raccourcie de 5 kilomètres.

A voir : Fort Bornem, ancienne gare d'Oppuurs, Sint-Pietersburcht, Gildermonument, Grot van Branst, Sint-Bernardusabdij, divers bunkers.
