Connaissez-vous la légende du célèbre attrapeur de rats, le Flûtiste de Hameln ? Selon les frères Grimm, le Flûtiste a mené tous les enfants hors de la ville de Hameln en 1284.
Au départ, il était un attrapeur de rats engagé par les autorités pour se débarrasser des rongeurs qui gênaient les habitants de la ville. En jouant une mélodie envoûtante sur sa flûte, il a attiré les rats dans la rivière voisine où ils se sont noyés. Lorsque le maire a refusé de le payer pour ce service, il a pris sa revanche. En utilisant la même méthode, il a fait suivre les enfants de la ville hors de celle-ci, pour ne jamais être revus.
