La décharge minière d'Altenberg désigne une ville disparue et un site archéologique situé sur la montagne éponyme entre le quartier de Littfeld à Kreuztal et le quartier de Müsen à Hilchenbach, dans le district de Siegen-Wittgenstein en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie.
Le nom « Altenberg » apparaît pour la première fois dans les documents écrits de la région de Siegerland dans un acte du 12 juillet 1290. Déjà au 12ème siècle, du plomb, de l'argent et des minerais étaient extraits, et cette longue histoire s'est terminée en 1965 avec le comblement du puits de la machine.
