La grotte de Hohlstein se situe dans la forêt de Teutoburg près de Kohlstädt, dans le district de Lippe en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie, et est une zone de protection de la nature et un site Natura 2000.
Considérée comme l'une des grottes les plus importantes en Ostwestfalen dans le système de fissures des calcaires marneux du Crétacé supérieur, elle a été explorée dès 1779. Aujourd'hui, l'accès du public y est cependant interdit, sauf quelques exceptions, car elle est classée monument naturel et sert de quartier d'hiver pour les chauves-souris.
