El Atazar est une commune espagnole de la province et de la Communauté de Madrid. Elle compte une population de 90 habitants.[1] On ne sait pas avec certitude l'origine du nom. Auparavant, c'était "Latazar", comme mentionné dans le Livre de la Montería d'Alfonso XI. On attribue une racine celto-germanique et même basque, bien que la majorité penche pour une origine arabe.
