Terrassa est une commune espagnole de Catalogne, la troisième par la population, située dans la plaine du Vallès Occidental dont elle est la cocapitale et la plus grande ville. Son aire d'influence comprend plus de 250 000 habitants.
La ville est située dans la dépression prélittorale catalane, aux pieds de la cordillère prélittorale , à une altitude moyenne de 277 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, à vingt-huit kilomètres de Barcelone et vingt de Montserrat.
