Champagney est une commune française située dans le département de la Haute-Saône, en région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Elle fait partie de la communauté de communes Rahin et Chérimont.
Située dans une région particulièrement vallonnée, son altitude varie de 343 mètres au centre-ville à 680 mètres au nord du territoire communal. La population compte 3 797 habitants en 2019. Ses habitants se nomment les Champagnerots et Champagnerotes. Elle est traversée par le Rahin ainsi que par deux autres cours d'eau plus modestes et le canal de la Haute-Saône, inachevé. Très marquée par la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Champagney a reçu la croix de guerre 1939-1945.
