Le château de Horn est l'un des plus anciens châteaux médiévaux à enceinte circulaire encore intacts aux Pays-Bas.
La forteresse est construite sur une élévation naturelle au bord d'un ancien méandre de la Meuse. Il a été construit au XIIIe siècle comme un château rond irrégulier avec quatre tours rondes.
Autour du château se trouve un magnifique parc. Dans ce parc se trouvent, à côté du château, une ferme de château, une porcherie, un logement de service avec grange, une grande grange et un garage. Tant les bâtiments que le parc sont des monuments nationaux.
Le château de Horn est-il accessible au public ?
La forteresse est une propriété privée et n'est donc pas ouverte aux visites. En revanche, le parc est toujours accessible aux promeneurs.
