Zundert est une commune néerlandaise située dans la municipalité de Zundert, dans la province du Brabant-Septentrional. La commune comptait 8 340 habitants au 1er janvier 2021. Zundert se situe au sud d'Etten-Leur et de Breda le long de la route de Breda, au sud de Rijsbergen. Le nom 'Zundert' apparaît pour la première fois dans un acte de 1157, où l'évêque de Liège confirme le don des dîmes de Sunderda à l'abbaye de Tongerlo. Les explications du nom comme provenant de la déesse germanique Sandraudiga ou isolé sont aujourd'hui rejetées. La signification est actuellement recherchée dans : terre du sud, pays au sud. Le village actuel de Zundert est né de la herdgang Groot-Zundert, qui existait aux côtés de Klein-Zundert.
