L'église était à l'origine dédiée à Sainte Anne. L'église possède un clocher à pignon intégré datant d'environ 1200 et une nef romano-gothique du XIIIe siècle. La cloche a été fondue en 1616. Au XVIIIe siècle, le chœur à cinq côtés a été construit, la toiture rénovée et le clocher doté d'un nouveau pignon. Le chœur a été adapté lors de la restauration de 1939-1942 sous la direction de A. Baart sr.
