La maison natale de Hugo de Groot se trouvait à Oude Langendijk, en face du chœur de la Nouvelle Église. Aujourd'hui, se trouve ici la porte menant à une cour intérieure nommée Huigh de Groothof. La ruelle de cette cour s'appelle Maria van Reigersberchstraat, en l'honneur de l'épouse de Hugo. À côté de la porte d'entrée à Oude Langendijk, une plaque commémorative rappelle la maison de naissance.
