La Torre dei Piccioni era parte della precedente abbazia agostiniana, fondata alla fine dell'XI secolo e soppressa durante la Rivoluzione Francese. La Torre dei Piccioni fu costruita nel 1710 e, secondo una leggenda, era destinata a essere una sorpresa per l'abate Fraeys al suo ritorno dal viaggio a Roma. La Torre dei Piccioni conta 1132 nidi.
