Secondo la tradizione, nel 1249 fondato da Margherita di Costantinopoli. Ottenne entrate grazie alla tassazione sull'importazione del vino. Il fratello-vergierder misurava con la vergierroede la quantità di vino che veniva introdotta in porto a Damme.
Qui troverete un museo interessante con una ricca collezione di mobili gotici e rinascimentali, dipinti di amministratori ospedalieri, un Tüchlein, ceramiche, lastre tombali, oggetti d'uso. Cappella ospedaliera barocca.
