Sart-Saint-Laurent è un villaggio dell'Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse sulla strada da Namur a Châtelet. Oggi fa parte di Fosses-la-Ville, nella provincia di Namur. Era un comune a tutti gli effetti prima della fusione dei comuni del 1977.
Situato ai margini del bosco di Haute Marlagne, il luogo fu disboscato e ripulito da boscaioli, in particolare all'inizio del XII secolo, quando la costruzione dell'abbazia di Floreffe da parte di san Norberto, aiutato da Hugues de Fosses, nel 1221, richiedeva molta legna.
