Sapevi che Wellen aveva un famoso residente che è stato anche l'ispirazione per il famoso sindrome di Stoccolma. Era il gangster Clark Olofsson, noto a Wellen come lo scrittore Daniel Demuynck. Viveva in un antico castello a Wellen, dove organizzava regolarmente feste con la sua banda. Clark Olofsson aveva un bel aspetto, una personalità carismatica e una grande intelligenza. Durante una delle rapine più famose in Svezia, riuscì a convincere completamente gli ostaggi a fidarsi dei rapitori, a sostenerli e a proteggerli. Questo avvenne il 23 agosto 1973 presso la Sveriges Kreditbanken nella chic Norrmalmstorg piazza.
In seguito, dunque, Clark Olofsson giunse qui a Wellen. È stata anche realizzata una serie Netflix su di lui: "Clark".
